Arkansas Amazon Sales Tax
Arkansas enforces marketplace facilitator law since July 2019. Amazon collects and remits sales tax on all Arkansas orders.
Overview
Arkansas' marketplace facilitator law took effect July 1, 2019. The base state sales tax rate is 6.5%, with local jurisdictions adding up to 5.125% on top, making the maximum combined rate 11.625%. Amazon collects and remits sales tax on all Arkansas orders automatically.
For FBA sellers, this means you have no Arkansas registration or filing obligation when 100% of your Arkansas sales flow through Amazon. The marketplace facilitator law exempts marketplace-only sellers from registration.
What FBA sellers still need to know
No registration needed for Amazon-only sellers. Direct-to-consumer sales above $100K/year or 200 transactions require state registration.
